The client’s had only recently bought the property, and were undertaking an extensive modernasition of the house, so it was only right that the outdoor space was reimagined as well. The property backs on to Sydenham Woods, and the previous garden consisted of a heavily sloped, patchy lawn. With the addition of a generous patio area, and by levelling the worst of the slope, the garden could then be redesigned from scratch. Together with the client’s, a lawn was ruled out. Instead a series of meandering bark paths were installed that lead you through a stylised woodland planting scheme.

The first phase of the planting was completed in early 2017. Check back over the coming months for more updates, and the additon of a wildlife pond and bog area.
