The clients wanted a complete redesign for this tired old front garden. Bordering a busy main road, privacy needed to be offset against security worries. The extremely large space benefits from a series of new black basalt pathways that connect the front door to the street, whilst providing access to the bins and side return. Three generous planting beds are filled with a naturalistic mix of shrubs, small trees and perennials to give a relaxed, contemporary feel to the space. Planted in spring 2016, this garden will only get better as it matures.
